Duey was a 2 year old male, white and orange cat who came to us at the tender age of 6 weeks. His eyes were big and blue then, but later they turned green. He had a pug nose and ears which stuck out. He was original to be sure! He gave us so much joy and received an abundance of love in return.

On Thursday, July 25th, 2002, Duey was accidentally hit by a car. Our house now seems so empty and our garden, which he surveyed, patrolled and protected as his very own special Domain, seems barren. In every corner of it I can still see him frolicking, watching the birds intently or just resting in the shade of the flowers and trees.

Although Duey is gone, we have many treasured memories and an album full of photos by which to remember him.

Will we ever entrust our hearts to another pet? They say time heals - so in time we shall see.

I hope there is a pet heaven and Duey is with our other departed beloved cat, Fluffy Ann, who lived to the ripe old age of 18 years. God Bless Duey. We Love You.
