Adopt A Pet
To access biographies on an animal, click the picture or their name. Or click here to see who has been adopted.
When you adopt an animal from the Bay of
Islands SPCA you will sign a contract agreeing to have your new pet spayed or
neutered. As of May 1st, 2009, the fee for adoption will be raised from
$100.00 to $120.00. When your animal is spayed / neutered, you give the receipt
to the vet and $100.00 will be deducted from the cost of the procedure. If
your new animal has already been spayed/neutered, the fee will be $80.00. This money will go into our "Spay/Neuter Fund" and will be
used to get a "hard to place" shelter animal done. If your new pet
has been vaccinated at the shelter an
extra $10.00 charge for dogs and $20.00 charge for cats will be administered
for each set of vaccinations your new pet has been given.
Remember, if you would like to have a closer look at any of these animals, you can drop into the SPCA animal shelter. We are open everyday from
10am to 12 noon. Click 'Location' at the bottom of the page for directions.
